This 5k, 10k fun run will start and finish at the Southeast Idaho Veterans Memorial at Upper Ross Park. Would you like to sponsor a vet? Select that option in the registration process. If there are not enough vets to sponsor, your sponsorship will be a donation to the POW MIA Awareness Association.
Our race is to raise awareness of the more than 82,756 service members that have not yet returned home from serving this country since WWII. This race specifically focuses on the 33 Idahoans who remain missing in action from the Korean War (25) and the Vietnam War (8). Our race will have specific information about these men along the race route. Pre-race and post-race activities will involve telling their stories. The shirts for the race will be designed to also educate participants and race prizes will include POW*MIA swag.
Water will be provided before and after the race as well as at aid stations on the race route. Post race will be available at the finish line.
